Ghost in the Shell 2 : Innocence
En 2032, la distinction entre l'homme et la machine a presque totalement disparu. Les êtres humains ont oublié qu'ils sont humains et cohabitent avec des cyborgs (des humains au corps entièrement mécanisé) et des poupées (des robots intégralement artificiels). Batou est un cyborg. Son corps synthétique abrite ce qui lui reste d'humanité : son cerveau et le souvenir d'une femme mystérieuse, le Major. Ghost in the Shell 2 : Innocence est l'histoire d'un cyborg qui s'accroche désespérément aux dernières traces de son humanité, dans un monde où l'âme, le ghost, est en train de perdre toute sa valeur.
